Mermaid Cove is located on Vancouver Island in the province of British Columbia on Canada's west coast.
We are 13 km south of Nanaimo and 90 kms north of the province's capital, Victoria, B.C. on the east coast of the island.

If you are coming from the north, take either the Nanaimo Parkway or the Island Highway and turn left onto Cedar road. Follow Cedar road about 5 kms until you come to a bridge. Cross the bridge and turn right continuing for another approximately 5 kms and then turn left onto Yellow Point Road for about 9 kms. Look for our sign and turn left off of Yellow Point Road. Mermaid Cove is a few 100 metres down the road on the right hand side.
If you are coming from the south (ie from Victoria), turn right onto Cedar Road from Highway 1 (note this is the south exit to Cedar Road). After approximately 4 kms turn right onto Yellow Point Road (you will see a corner store/gas station at the intersection). We are about 7 kms. down Yellow Point Rd (look for our sign) and turn right.
You can catch a B.C. Ferry from either Horseshoe Bay or Tsawassen to Nanaimo at the Departure Bay or Duke Point Terminals. From Departure Bay terminal head south, towards Victoria and exit on Cedar Rd. Follow the directions for "By Road" above. From Duke Point Terminal (this is a bit trickier though GPS or Google maps should help) take the Duke Point highway for a short distance and then take a slight left to get off the highway to Maughan Road. Turn right onto Maughan which turns into Macmillan. Stay on Macmillan which turns right to cross the highway on an overpass then goes parallel with the highway for a short distance before turning right and crossing over the highway once again. Follow Macmillan until it ends at Cedar Road where you turn left and stay on Cedar until coming to the Yellow Point turn off where you take a left and follow the same instructions as above.
